Two Years Later...

After two years of living a "normal" retired life, and having sold the motorhome, we decided to take a road trip to the Oregon Coast. We left yesterday morning and our first stop was San Luis Obispo, where we stayed at the charming Apple Farm Inn. Their warm hospitality included a reception in the afternoon with wine or tea and cookies. Last night's dinner was a real treat at the famous Madonna Inn. Although quite "girly" and VERY pink, the restaurant has a distinct elegance and the food and service were first-class.


Today we headed north and our destination was Petaluma. We took a detour to Sonoma for a little wine-tasting, then walked the historic district of Petaluma, where we admired the many old churches and refurbished Victorian houses.


As we were looking for a place to have dinner, we walked by a movie theater and saw that "Mamma Mia" was playing, and decided to forfeit a good dinner and see the movie instead! We really enjoyed it, just as we did the live show, as it is pure entertainment.
