Let's hope that this first day is no indication of what's ahead! First...we got a call from our realtor Carla that when the buyers of our house did their walk-through yesterday, they wanted to know why the ceiling fan in the kitchen nook area was hanging by one wire? Yes, it waited until we moved out, but not until escrow closed, to fall out of the ceiling!! Needless to say, the buyers wanted it re-installed before escrow closes! So we had that to deal with...in addition, what previous owners of a garage door business for 16 years would move out of their house and NOT leave the garage door transmitters? DUH!! We just FORGOT! So we also had THAT to deal with! In addition... we took the motorhome in to have a satellite dish installed in Scotts Valley not too far from Amy and Derek's. They discovered as they went up on top of the roof that the roof of our NEW motorhome had many cracks that should have been sealed by the dealership, but had not been. So we were on the phone all day trying to get authorization for Mike Thompson's RV to pay for the work ($400). We were told if we hit rain, the water will leak in and we'll end up with mildew and a whole mess. Looks like we may actually leave Scott's Valley before midnight tonight! But in the grand scheme of things, what does it matter if we're a day behind on starting our new adventure.... Are we having fun yet??
