Heaven on Earth

We’re staying at Diamond Lake in Oregon and today went sightseeing in the car. We took the 138 towards Roseburg, per Steve’s suggestion. It is one of the most beautiful drives we have ever taken. We went to see Steve’s favorite campground “Horseshoe Bend” and we believe Heaven looks just like this place. It is so beautiful and green and so rich in vegetation. We wish we could camp there, but it was in the 90’s today and the term “roughing it” is permanently deleted from our vocabulary. So needless to say, we won’t stay in any campgrounds where we don’t have electricity for our air conditioning. While we were sightseeing, we found a couple of great locations to camp, and made some reservations. So we now have definite places to stay for the next five nights. As we were driving back to our campsite, it started to rain, which is a reminder of why Oregon is so green! The temperature dropped from 95 degrees to 68 by the time we got back to our motorhome.

Diane and Bob,

We hope you really enjoy Oregon and Washington. Let us know what you think of Mt. Ranier National Park.
