We discovered an animal we had never seen or heard of! Bob went out to get something out of the car the other night and he saw 4 or 5 animals roaming around. He thought they were dogs at first, but couldn’t imagine that they were. They got closer and they looked like wild boar! We were shocked and wondered what wild boar could possibly be doing there. He went into the RV park office in the morning and asked about them. The ladies laughed because they are all over the Sedona area. They are “Javeline” (the J is pronounced like an H). Although they look like they should be part of the pig family, they are actually very large rodents (truly the size of pigs!). We’re told they smell really badly and they have a snout like a pig that they use to rut up the soil so they can eat the roots. They have very bad eyesight and a great sense of smell. When we went into the shops yesterday, we saw Javeline statues and pictures everywhere!
