Zion National Park

Look how tiny I look in front of that huge mountain peak

Zion is absolutely majestic! Beautiful, shaded trails meander through forested glens, where you are surrounded by unbelievable mountain peaks on all sides. When we left on the free shuttle from our campground, there wasn’t a rain cloud in the sky and it was warm and sunny. Even though we heard a forecast for severe thunderstorms, we had a hard time believing it! We took a 2½-mile trail, and thoroughly enjoyed taking lots of pictures of the spectacular view. Then we noticed gray clouds overhead and decided to quickly head back to the shuttle. As soon as we boarded, the thunder and lightening started and it was pouring! We still got on and off the shuttle a couple of times, once the rain lightened up. We walked back to our campsite in the rain, getting soaked and having fun as we sang a chorus of “Singing in the Rain”. We had wondered if Bryce and Zion were going to be similar because they're so close together, but they are TOTALLY different!
