We ventured out today to spend the afternoon and evening in Leavenworth, per Tom and Sue’s recommendation. Leavenworth is an adorable Bavarian Village similar to Solvang, but much bigger and prettier. It is filled with Old World charm, as the designers looked to the alpine mountain scenery for inspiration. As you walk the streets, you hear Alpen folk music playing, reminiscent of Oktoberfest. The village is a huge tourist attraction, with unique shops and brilliantly colored flowers everywhere. It’s a magical place, and Bob and I loved it there!

Hi Bob and Diane,
Your excellent adventure continues!
Jerry and I were in Leavenworth on August 9th! It is a beautiful place. We had a great vacation. Chad, Jolene and Ryder have settled in and we are enjoying every minute! Chad has several good job opportunities; with two actual job offers already. We praise God! Our church outdoor service was yesterday and it was well attended and a great day of fun and fellowship! We think of you and pray for you!
Love, Jerry and Claudia
