Friday we had a fun day at the zoo, which is also a botanical garden with beautiful plants and even butterflies. Also included was a prehistoric park. We saw everything yesterday from bats (yuk) to a hippopotamus (huge!) to groundhogs (cute) to caribou (see photo). Bob was excited to see a bald eagle up close. The zoo is also a “rescue center” for troubled animals like a bear who broke into a bakery in Lake Louise.
